Infinite resources exist for learning how to design landing pages that convert customers, but a more valuable tool than a simple landing page is a fun, interactive experience that motivates customers to take action. Online design tools let customers instantly envision their projects while helping sell the appeal of your products and services.
The following five website design tools are perfect examples of making sales fun for customers.
1. Better Homes and Gardens Plan-A-Garden
The popular magazine’s website lets you landscape your yard with its free click-and-drag online tool. All you have to do in return is register for the site, which gives them the contact information needed for email campaigns, partner offers and magazine subscription trials.
2. AutoDesk Homestyler
Homestyler lets you design any room in your house, then add real name brand products. This free tool creates desire for specific products, and I’m guessing Homestyle makes money from the referrals. If not, the software is a natural segue to the professional version.
3. Sherwin Williams Paint Visualizer
This is one of my favorites: Upload a photo of the room you want to paint, then test how it will look with any combination of Sherwin Williams’ paint colors. Once you’ve identified your perfect color swatch, you can save it and go to a Sherwin Williams retail store to buy.
4. Milk and Honey Shoebuilder
Women seeking custom-made designer shoes can create their own unique style with Milk and Honey’s interactive tool. Once your shoe design is complete, you can naturally order it online.
5. Easy Closets Closet Organizer
Easy Closets sells custom closet organizer systems, and their interactive online tool lets you create the perfect system for your own closets and then order it online.
