Hello Friends, this post will explain you to create your own website for your business or personal use without even knowing the basic of programming. In this tutorial I tell you how you can create a simple 3 page website easily & quickly. This is a very basic tutorial about creating your website using WordPress that will help you to get familiar with WordPress CMS. Follow the step below which will guide you to create you own website.
1.Create Account
Visit the website wordpress.com & click on Sign Up. Go ahead and register. In first step of registration you will asked about basic username, password & Email address. In Second Step you will be asked for your blog domain name so put the name that you like to have for your website but please do remember that you wont be able to change this name in future. In Blog title write welcome to my website or anything you want to convey your visitor. after that click on sign up.
On the next page you will be asked for your name & your bio fill the form & click on save profile. Now check your email where you will receive a mail from wordpress with an activation link. Click on the activation link, after that a new page will open. Login with your wordpress username & password. Again it will ask for username & Password enter your detail & then click on login.
Now you have successful created & logged into your wordpress account.
2.Dashboard
As you login into your account you will see a page similar to the image giving below, which is dashboard for your website from where you can control different part of the website & update your website with new contents.
Now 1st click on Pages tab which appears on the left links & then click on add new on the right hand side see the image below.
You will be redirected to new page first enter the page name as Home which will be the first page that user will see. Enter the information below that you need to give to user when they see this page. You can even insert pictures by clicking next to upload/insert where you be asked to upload the picture from your computer, after completing content to the page uncheck the box Allow Comments & Allow trackbacks & pingbacks on this page.
Now on the top right of the page click on publish.
Now Similarly Following the above steps create other pages like about, contact us or any other pages you need to create.
Note: In pages section you will already find a page named as about either you can delete the page & create new one or you can edit the page. If you are editing the page remember to uncheck the allow comments & allo trackbacks & pingbacks to this page.
3.Important Changes
As wordpress is the blogging website you need to do the following important changes to give it look & feel of the website.
First you need to click on Setting Tab which is at left bottom of the page after that you need to click on reading tab.
Now you will see a page similar to the image below. In front page display option select the static page & choose the front page as home after that go to the bottom of the page & click on save changes.
After this step you website is all done only one final step is remaining that is to select a proper theme, but still you can visit your website at yourusername.wordpress.com you will find page similar to the image below.
The next step will tell you about how you can change the look of the website by selecting a proper theme.
4.Selecting Theme
In step you will learn how to change the theme of your website. Its really simple you need to click on Appearance tab which in near center left of the page, a new page will open where you will see different themes available under browse theme section. When you click on any of the theme you will see preview of your website with that theme. After you have decide the theme you can click on activate theme to apply the theme to your website.
After applying the theme go check your website which is ready.

The header graphics you used looks great! WordPress can be so flexible with its various plugins that it’s hard to go back to coding websites without it now.
